Ancient Underwater City Uncovered in the Bay of Cambay, India Last year the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) continued its studies of pollution off the Northwestern Coast of India and using side-scan sonar was surprised to find unusual structures of an ancient civilization submerged in some 120 feet of water.  They believe the structures the radar revealed could be as much as 9,500 years old.  Previously (in the years 2000-2004) in that same area a more contemporary submerged culture had been found which was dated to about 4,500 year old.  From this discovery artifacts such as pottery, blades and other  signs of civilization were recovered. Hence there is a confusion over what is now numerous "artifacts" that have been retrieved from this area.

 Nevertheless the sonar shows large blocks with straight edges which resemble the foundations of a large civilization extending at least five miles in length with complex structures  now completely submerged.  This would confirm not only the importance of the Indus Valley ancient culture, but eastern myths such as those in the Sanskrit Mahabharata text which mentioned a city by the name of Dwaraka which was said to have been submerged by the sea. Similarly, we may be soon witnessing the submersion of additional cities around the globe as the ice melts during this era of global change.

 It has been reported by scientists that approximately 10,000 years ago the ocean levels rose by over a hundred feet. Now scientists are discovering numerous submerged city locations, such as Yonaguni that Dr. J.J. Hurtak, Ph.D, Ph.D., of the Academy for Future Science, investigated in 1997 with remote sensing equipment.  The Bay of Cambay is yet another site that is now believed to show evidence of a civilization older than 6000 years. Hurtak calls for a complete reconstruction of ancient migratory routes before the last Ice Age with the new confirmations from underwater archaeological and geology.
