The Academy has investigated a very important event that has come to light: the sighting of a vehicle crashing on the South African-Botswana border. Strange and terrifying sounds of what many believe to be a Ufo that was about to crash flew low over their heads on December 30, 2006. According to the current witness Leonie Ras, the object was singing like a 'million turbines' and was heard for miles near the city of Lephalale, a new area of development supporting a growing population of some sixty thousand.
An Interview with Leonie Ras regarding South Africa Crash Sighting
In the area of Lephalale, South Africa, near the Botswana border, many people were awaken on December 30th, 2006 by a loud noise from an explosion. Leonie Ras was different. She doesn't sleep well and was already awake [around 4:33 a.m.] when she noticed a strange light filling the dark sky and heard a strange sound. As she looked out her bedroom window the house started to rumble and the eerie sound became louder. Others who heard the sound talked about vibrations that shattered and broke windows, a sudden wind and described a 'shock wave'.
Since Leonie was already awake, at first she thought it was a very low flying plane that had lost its way - but as it came closer the noise grew quickly to what she described as standing next to thousands of airbus turbines all together increasing in intensity of sound. There were strong vibrations - the windows of the house started shuddering as it went by. The noise was extremely loud and intense - she felt it pressing down, like a pressure wave, and it made her feel claustrophobic and she couldn't breathe.
But it wasn't just the noise that made her feel it was more than a meteorite; her florescent lights went out for about 4 minutes. And when she later walked around her house she discovered that the power went out as well and she had to reset her microwave and other electronic devices.
With her lights out, it made her peer even more strongly through the window and what she saw was an object she describes as "coming from the universe". Although there were clouds in the night sky, they had turned a 'bright pink and then bright orange and bright red'. She thought to herself what beautiful colors just before she could see the object breaking through the clouds.
What she saw she described to The Academy in South Africa's investigators as "as elliptical in shape with a large pillar above it, in bright orange and red".
She described it as very large. From her window she could see it above the trees which were about 9 meters tall and about 500 meters away. From this distance it appeared as about 70 cm in diameter - and with her friend, Janie's help, they estimated the object passed by her house at about a 40 degree angle (and not directly overhead).
As she watched It hit the ground in the distance just beyond her horizon, there was a huge bang - an explosion. From the time she first heard the noise until the time of the explosion about 3 or 4 minutes passed; too slow to be a meteorite. The explosion sent the debris flying high into the air in a narrow plume - not spread out like usual explosions. It continues to colored the clouds and the sky with orange and red colors.
The Lephalale community is composed of mainly fairly conservative Afrikaans farmers. Although the crash was the topic of much discussion in the days afterwards, most did not see the explosion and only saw the bright sky outside their windows and heard the sound.
Since Leonie saw the object crashing, she affirms it to be more than a meteorite and tried to phone many of the South African newspapers - none of which had a reporter on call to discuss what had happened. It was only on the 2nd January that she spoke to Fanie Van Royen of the Beeld newspaper who did the first report followed by a few radio interviews.
Janie Pretorius story: A friend's confirmation
Janie Pretorius, Leonie Ras's friend, has been living for many years in Lephahale and has a large game farm outside the town and also grows grapes. He appeared to be a credible witness, but was cautious in his statements.
"We [he and his wife and son] didn't see it coming down but we heard the explosion which was huge and almost threw us out of bed - it was the same time as when Leonie heard it. At first we thought it was lightening - but that felt very unreal for us as there was no heavy rain at the time.
"[Later] we went to Leonie's house and she explained exactly where she was standing when she saw the object - she indicated the direction she saw it go down. I took a line from her - just left of North - say North. We went to Google earth and plotted coordinates on Google earth and extended the line to Botswana."
Judging from the direction of her bedroom window and where she saw the object crash, Janie hired a helicopter to find the object, but could not get one until two weeks later. Also since the border with Botwana was so nearby and the helicopter pilot was not legally able to go too far beyond the South African border, they came back empty handed. Jan and Leonie both felt the search had not been adequate.
The terrain is bushveld - the first part is ravines, then sandy and then to the Limpopo hard ground. They also plotted a course based on the direction from her window and where other people in the vicinity heard the explosion and so they think it was in this area [see map], but they could not verify the exact location.
Natal, Brazil: Most recent UFO Sighting

He took the photos in the morning on November 26, 2006, in a town called Alagamar, which is outside the city of Natal, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande no Norte. Brazil has had continued sighting both by government leaders, pilots and civilians since the 1950s.
Over the course of the next twelve months, the UFO subject will come under intense media and public interest in various parts of the world. 2005 saw the release of documents by the Brazilian government covering major events of massive UFO activity over military bases and populated cities. In Mexico, 2004 the government allowed the release of superb radar documentation over Campeche, Mexico, which led to official disclosures by the Mexican government in 2004, and now, the anticipated release of official documents by the French government (SEPRA-CNES) in 2007. This may trigger the release of more documentation by other governmental authorities in the world.
Despite strenuous and costly efforts by governments to publicly debunk good case studies, all subsequent opinion polls patently demonstrate they have miserably failed to reverse a growing tide of belief that some UFOs are real, and not misidentification hoaxes or the product of imaginative minds.
This year is seeing the emergence of several former military and intelligence figures (Nick Pope, from the U.K. Defense Ministry, for example) who have something major to say on a subject that influences all civilization. Credible backgrounds don't in themselves make for credible accounts unless they fit into the larger picture of substantial testimony.
Radar pictures taken during the afternoon of March 5, 2004 near the Gulf of Mexico, over the state of Campeche from a Merlin C26 aircraft of SEDNA, the Mexican Secretariat of Defense.
As part of their surveillance they use Star SAFIRE II infrared sensing device manufactured by FLIR Systems of Portland, Oregon. To their surprise, what they could only see on the radar was several unidentified flying objects, up to eleven moving objects were spotted at an elevation of 11,500 feet (3,500 meters).
The importance of the story is that it involved the Mexican Air Force using a C-26 Merlin aircraft. The aircraft was equipped with conventional and sophisticated 'forward looking' radar to detect and track illegal aircraft when it encountered a series of Ufo objects in the sky over the State of Campeche, Mexico. Although the Air Force crew of 8 and the mission coordination with the air traffic control tower were unable to make visual contact with the objects, the two radar systems on their plane, both reliable and operative, never stopped recording the details of the very large objects through detection of luminosity. In short, the objects remained invisible to the naked eye, but not so to the radars. Despite the pictures released to the world media of what appeared to be small luminous objects flying in and out of clouds over Mexico, the flight commander of the mission estimated the size of the largest object being that of a 15 story building. The Mexican Secretary of Defense and the Mexican government have made no public claims regarding this incident. They have only acknowledged that they were the source of this factual material on national television. Two months later both the Air Force Commander and the respective Air Force regional director were transferred to lower ranking posts.

In recent research updates, Dr. J.J. Hurtak has spoken about the importance of the Zimbabwe case where sixty-two children at the Ariel school in the town of Ruwa saw a 'small alien subject' and a vehicle with seven smaller vehicles around it. Their interviews were recorded on camera showing their psychological trauma of feelings of close encounters with the alien. The form and shape of the alien vehicle and its smaller satellite vehicles match the description of a vehicle incident seen in Metapec, Mexico (see below), seven thousand miles away, on the same day (September 16th , 1994). A comparison of notes by Dr. Hurtak and Dr. John Mack, who worked together in southern Africa, cover the incredible reality that UFOs are coming more and more out into the open for contact regardless of social and psychological shock.

Russia: Giant UFO seen by entire Siberian city, photo.On February 15th of this year at around 6pm the residents of the south eastern Siberian city of Chita (population around 300,000) in Russia witnessed a giant UFO cross their city and then disappear over the horizon. Some managed to photograph the craft with their mobile phones. Shocked pedestrians stopped in the town centre and in parks and pointed to sky declaring the object to be a UFO. Above is a photo of the craft.One witness, a Ms. Anna Kotchetkova , who saw the object after her sons excitedly alerted her to it observed that it looked like 'nothing on earth'. The UFO was described by witnesses as being completely silent and emitting no lights, its colour was grey-black and looked like a triangle with smoothed edges. Its shape was somewhat irregular and there was said to be some blurriness about the craft.Other witnesses attempted to photograph the UFO but couldn't due to its speed and difficulty focusing however multiple photos are said to have surfaced. The UFO was estimated to be flying at around 500-1000 meters above land and appeared to be around the size of a Boeing 747. It was estimated to be moving at around 7 metres per second.The incident is being widely reported in the Russian media and immediately after the sighting many members of the press made their way to the Siberian city. UFO research teams are also planning to visit the area to interview witnesses.Many suspect a secret UFO base lies somewhere in the vast spaces of Siberia. This sighting adds weight to this view.
